A Little Hungry

Ok, some complaints now. It’s 11 PM and I seem to be having a difficult time.

For breakfast, I had the Apple Granola Bar, and a glass of skim milk. For lunch (at work), I had Cheesy Cream of Broccoli Soup, an apple, and a small salad. I felt hungry so I had a snack (Nacho Crisps). I had dinner at home and had the Thin Crust Pizza with Cheese but I found this serving small. Since I already had a snack, I ‘cannot’ eat anymore for today. Hmmm…

I’m realistic enough to note that this feeling is probably normal because I am so used to BIG portions. I mean I can’t just make my body adapt in two days can I? I just need to tough this one out I guess. Actually, I just feel some ‘light hunger pangs’ and not full blown hunger. Maybe it could even be because a colleague of mine celebrated her birthday and had these heavenly scones delivered to the office for our afternoon snack and I didn’t take one… Ah, nobody said this would be easy.

I remember Oprah saying once that when you feel some hunger pangs, think of it this way: that’s the feeling you get when your system is now FINALLY getting to and using up the stored fats in your body. Yep, those exact fats on your thighs; they’re being burned now. Hmmm, does seem to work! :)

Update note: It’s 12 mn, I’m just about to turn off the lights and sleep. And no, I didn’t grab any food and gobbled it up. I actually feel good that I didn’t succumb to these cravings. The old me would have. The new me is determined to see this diet program through :)
