I’m on my fourth day on the NutriSystem diet program and I feel great! I’m not going on the weighing scale yet because I don’t want to be discouraged or anything because I know it takes a while for this to kick in my body and for me to start burning all my extra ‘fat’ (hate that word!).
This morning, I had the Blueberry Muffin for breakfast (sounds like ‘guilty’ food doesn’t it?!?), a glass of skim milk and some orange juice. For lunch, I just had Chicken Noodle Soup. Actually, I brought Chicken Noodle Soup and Fettuccini Alfredo because I wasn’t sure what I would be in the mood for but - get this! - I wasn’t feeling so hungry for lunch! I realized this just as I grabbed the styrofoam cup of Chicken Noodle Soup. I mean, ME, the one who would still look around hungrily after a full plate of clubhouse sandwich and chips, feeling ‘not so hungry’… unbelievable!
Anyway, I’m so pumped up that I’ll join Elizabeth, my colleague, to the gym this afternoon. I have a confession… I haven’t been to the gym in YEARS. This is a big step for me and I don’t think I would have the courage to do this if I didn’t feel I was finally on the right track to losing all my excess weight. They say that you should ‘reward’ yourself with a little something if you reach a certain weight loss milestone to motivate yourself. I think mine is to buy this really nice workout suit once I lose 5 lbs. It’s nothing fancy, but every time I see this particular workout suit I feel sexy and ‘energetic’ already, what more if I wear it?
